I absolutely need …

fresh air and the opportunity to enjoy being outside each day.

time to write every day.

help from You, Lord … I make such a mess of things without You.

an attitude of gratitude.

to dig in the dirt … to reach down and feel the soil in my hands.

coffee in the morning.

I absolutely need …

to talk with someone each day.

hugs where I feel someone’s arms all around me holding me, supporting me, letting me know I am loved.

to kick off my shoes as soon as I enter the house.

time to read aloud in my head … if that makes sense … makes sense to me.

diet coke.

a clean orderly house.

to swing on the porch.

a fan moving air and making that whirring sound to gently fall asleep.

my sister.

my husband.

my brother-in-law.

my sisters-in-law.

I absolutely need …

a trip to the beach every year.

time to watch and listen to the birds and other critters in our yard.

to floss my teeth even if I don’t want to.

time alone.

clothes that don’t need to be ironed.

time to connect with You, Dear Lord, each and every day.

Your guidance, Lord, protection, and loving hand to grasp.

a trip to WalMart every now and then.

a massage at least once a month.

warm sunshine and gentle rains.

dime-store glasses to read anything anymore.

I absolutely need …

cool, clear, water to drink.

a bath every day.

at least seven, on a good night eight hours of sleep.

a conditioning product on my hair every day.

lipstick and mascara only.

music in my life, even if it’s only in my head.

to lose ten to fifteen pounds; the same ten to fifteen pounds I’ve tried to lose for ten to fifteen years.

champagne once in a while.

warm fingers and toes when it’s cold outside.

air conditioning in a house and in a car.

ways to utilize my many avenues of creativity.

I absolutely need …

the Christmas Holidays.

to hear the Gaither Homecoming music and the Gaither Vocal Band; their songs make my heart sing.

to make a budget … although I’ve lived sixty-two years without one.

my meds for my bipolar-ness.

to let go; I can’t control anything, but I try to control everything and everyone.

to relax; I’ve never learned how to be still and be quiet.

to eat something for breakfast every single day.

chocolate pound cake once in a while.

to give to others; I can’t help myself; I love giving others surprises and treats.

to share my story; I am bipolar and have never been ashamed of who I am; God made me this way; He uses my weakness to help others who have their own weaknesses.

someone to need me.
