If I dwell on it I could have so many things to worry about … and I do. But it hasn’t and won’t change how things turn out. I’m not that powerful. I have a new phrase I’ve been saying lately. “It will all become clear.” Seems like a simple sentence, but it is amazing what it has done to my outlook on just about everything! Taking me out of the equation has helped tremendously.
Whatever ‘it’ is happens to be unclear, muddy, gloomy, dark, dusky, blocked, congested, fuzzy, foggy, dim, indistinct, obscure, smudged, uncertain, vague.
Somehow, unbeknownst to me, all becomes clear, crystal, light, shining, luminous, pleasant, shiny, apparent, evident, noticeable, understandable, precise.
Nowhere in that statement, “It will all become clear,” does it suggest I am involved in making, arranging, handling, directing, the outcome. I’m off the hook! In reality I was never on the hook; I placed myself right smack dab in the middle of my plans, your plans, anyone’s plans, invited or not … and no, I was not invited!
Dear Heavenly Father, remind me to stay out of Your way! No one put me in charge of anything, and that’s a blessing because I have surely made a mess out of being in charge of myself.
Thank You for putting that phrase on the tip of my tongue. I know it was You, Lord, because it works and it is making my life much more relaxed! I know You are trying to help me be worry-free!
I thank You. I trust You. I know You are the Mighty, All-Powerful God! I am blessed to be called Your child. Amen
Proverbs 19:21 Easy-to-Read Version
People might make many plans, but what the Lord says is what will happen.
Isaiah 41:10 New International Reader’s Version
So do not be afraid. I am with you.
Do not be terrified. I am your God.
I will make you strong and help you.
I will hold you safe in my hands.
I always do what is right.
