After attending a retirement dinner for two friends of mine, I started thinking of the friendships I made during my own career. While workplace friendships often remain there, hearts and minds are forever transformed by the laughter, tears, fears, and yes the stress of day-to-day reality. As my friends enter a new chapter in their lives, I pray their paths will take them into new areas of delight, joy, and peaceful release. May our paths lead us together again in new and different ways. Dear Lord, may You continue to hold them tenderly in Your arms. Amen
