Remember When …

Memorial-Day-Pictures

Today is Memorial Day, a day of remembrance.

John 15:13 English Standard Version

Greater love has no one than this,

that someone lay down his life for his friends.

Our main purpose on this day is to remember those in the military, who gave their lives, or were wounded, so that we could live in peace and freedom. We owe much.

We owe remembrances to the contributions of our fellow friends, family members, co-workers, those we may have only known for brief moments; all those who saw our need. We owe much.

I think of all those that have passed from this life who have influenced, mentored, served, challenged, and strived to give what they had freely. I owe much.

Bless all those known and unknown by me who have given their all, in whatever form that gift was given.

Thank You, Dear Lord, for the ultimate sacrifice of Your only Son, Jesus Christ, who bore my sins past, present, and future. My slate is wiped clean; my sins forgiven; my life daily renewed. May I remember Him in all His humility; may I remember His gift, His life for mine. I owe my ALL. Amen
