Psalm 107:1 International Standard Version
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!
His gracious love exists forever.
“God is Great … God is Good” … begins the simple blessing said at the beginning of a meal. But what is Good? Who can describe it? Do we know it when we see it? Do we know it when we feel it? Do we know it when we show it? Do we know it when we feel it?
I can’t answer that question any more than I can describe God. Yet, I know goodness because I know God.
God knows me just as I am … good or not. Yet, I strive to live and act according to His will for my life, knowing He wants only the best … the good for me. Continue to teach me Lord, show me, help me to see the good all around me; help me to share goodness with others so they might see you through me, imperfect as I am. Amen
Philippians 4:8 Good News Translation
In conclusion, my friends, fill your minds with those things that are good and that deserve praise: things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and honorable.

Philippians 4:8-9 The Message
Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.
