We have a new arrival in the family. It’s a girl! It’s a precious princess! She’s our newest baby and we are all in love with her!
Today we aunts visited the new family; her older brother, who is three, grabbed as much attention as he could … and deservedly so … he is a darling little boy. He had me captivated with his Jeep bed, his cardboard hideout and his treasure box. His bright blue eyes and sweet smile brought delight and smiles a mile wide!
Back to our precious princess, I held her after her morning bottle. We rocked together and her sweet lashes drifted down to touch her soft cheeks. I’ve never had children of my own; I’d get nothing done but holding and cooing and cherishing each expression, yawn, and gurgle. There is nothing that melts me quicker than a tiny hand grasping my finger. I’d sit there as long as she wanted to hold onto me. I finally gave her over to another aunt and joined in the adult conversation as much as I could, though baby brother’s antics still amused me.

I am proud to say I stayed away from the muffin treats offered; I feasted instead on the sweetness of these precious babies. They babied me with their laughter and innocence. I left refreshed and renewed in spirit.
Matthew 18:2-5 Living Bible
Jesus called a small child over to him and set the little fellow down among them, and said, “Unless you turn to God from your sins and become as little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. Therefore anyone who humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. And any of you who welcomes a little child like this because you are mine is welcoming me and caring for me.
