I love reading a really good book; escaping into a different time and place refreshes; relating to the characters helps me see into another’s life good or bad; stories capture my imagination and conjure up realities only I can see and understand. Is that why You chose so many stories to teach Your Word? Jesus told stories so that lessons could be learned by each individual in ways that only they could see and understand. The Bible has recorded Your Word and through these written stories all people down through the ages have been able to read or have others read to them. God, Your Word says we were made in Your image. The root word of imagination is image. I like to think we were created within Your imagination so that we might become an extended part of Your image.
Imagination can mean forming new ideas, images, or concepts of external objects not present to the senses.
An image can be a representation of the external form of a person or thing.
I love the song by Bart Millard of Mercy Me, I Can Only Imagine.
