I set myself free of worry, doubt, unease, panic, and anxiety. How? By sharing the truth honestly and tenderly, without blame, without anger, without tears.

Then Jesus turned to the Jews who had claimed to believe in him. “If you stick with this, living out what I tell you, you are my disciples for sure. Then you will experience for yourselves the truth, and the truth will free you.”
But what is truth?
Philippians 4: 8 New International Version
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things.
It works, at least it worked beautifully for me; I bared my soul, I spoke of my fears, I spoke gently, I came from love. When will I learn to think on what is true, noble, and right? If I get perfect outcomes, results that surpass my hopes or understandings … feelings, once shared, lift my burdens from shoulders that bore the weight of worry … why can’t I approach all such encounters in such a manner?
I don’t stop to think through a situation; I don’t think to ponder my actions, my thoughts, my intentions.
Paul speaks from experience. He brutally persecuted those who followed Jesus. It took a blinding light to expose the truth of his transgressions against the Lord. I have had no blinding light; I have had only potential bad situations turn even more complicated and ugly.
Dear Lord, help me to stop and think before I do anything that may harm another; help me to remember that we are ALL your children, and as such, deserve the same considerations I would want afforded me; help me to treat others as I want to be treated; help me pause, hold my tongue, and think through to the truth as You would have me see it. Amen
