I Am Who I Am!

See the pinks, blues, and purple hues of a sunset; watch a wren making her nest from bits too tiny to imagine holding, supporting, protecting her young; observe tiny points of green emerging from the cold damp earth; discover the first rose bud of the summer; hear the morning praise birds raise from the treetops welcoming the new day; count the fingers and toes of a newborn in utter amazement that a new human being was conceived in love; thank you, Dear Lord, for these daily miracles of Your Omnipresence, Your Omniscience, Your Omnipotence!

Today mankind has accomplished marvels and discoveries in all areas of study both on and off our planet. Controversy has always existed over whether God or mankind is in control of all that is, was, or will be; I for one think Jean Simmons in the movie Elmer Gantry, by Sinclair Lewis, had it right when she said, “You may not believe in God, but God believes in you.”

It is beyond me to think anyone could doubt that You Are! Eyes, ears, hands, hearts, all bear witness to Your Magnificence!  All Glory, Honor, and Praise be to Your Name-Your many names:

Here are other’s thoughts about God.

Nobody talks so constantly about God as those who insist that there is no God. ~ Heywood Broun

God doesn’t owe us anything-yet in His grace, He still gives us good things.– Billy Graham

“Beauty is God’s handwriting.” – Charles Kingsley

“I can see how it might be possible for a man to look down upon the earth and be an atheist, but I cannot conceive how he could look up into the heavens and say there is no God.” – Abraham Lincoln

As if there were any need for more, I share the lyrics to the hymn, How Great Thou Art.

How Great Thou Art

Author: Carl Gustav Boberg 1885

Translator: Stuart K. Hine  1949

Tune: O STORE GUD

O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made,
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed:

Refrain

Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee:
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee:
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!

When through the woods and forest glades I wander
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees,
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur,
And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze:

Refrain

And when I think that God, his Son not sparing,
Sent him to die, I scarce can take it in,
That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin.

Refrain

When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart!
Then I shall bow in humble adoration,
And there proclaim, My God, How Great Thou Art!”
